Rewards

• Rewards come from newly issued tokens.

  • Predefined issuance schedule. The protocol follows a predefined issuance schedule that follows a step function that reaches 0 issuance by the end of 2024.

• Factors that impact realized rewards.

  • Validator performance. The ratio of successfully signed blocks is used to calculate the final rewards distributed to each validator and their delegators.

  • Commissions.

Risks

• Slashing. If a validator signs on two blocks at the same height, the validator’s stake will be deducted by 100 ROSE. The validator will also be kicked out of the active validator set. All delegators will also have their own stake deducted by 100 ROSE.
